Founded Payfirma in 2011 to be the first in Canada to successfully launch and commercialize mobile payments for businesses. Payfirma has now grown to a true North American payments company that consolidates mobile, in-store and ecommerce payments under a single account, single login: PayHQ.
Before Payfirma, Michael founded and was the CEO of Versapay. A payments company specializing in point of sale systems and electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP). After taking Versapay public on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX:VPY), Michael departed to found Payfirma. Michael took Versapay to the #1 spot on the HOT 50 List in 2009 for revenue growth over 10,000% and was featured on the cover of PROFIT magazine.
Michael has been honored as one of Canada's Top 40 under 40 in 2011 and Best Business Person 2012, amongst others.
