Today the House passed, by voice vote (no record kept) a intelligence reauthorization bill which contains a provision (inserted late last night) that statutorily authorizes spying on U.S. citizens without legal process. The bill also allows the intelligence agencies to pass information to law enforcement agencies without a court order.So now all communications (and possibly actions) are open to the surveillance and scrutiny of _both_ the federal government and to law enforcement.
