Ask HN: Making 'people' more productive.

I've come across this problem a lot of times. 1.My non less techy/friends/small business owners etc suggest me to build a site/app which they think would be a great use. The thing is their are already a ton of free and paid solution just a google search away.

2.Professionals who do not know the good tools for their use on web(imagine meeting a front end Dev who has never heard of codepen.io etc)

Whenever I show them something that they could use they are just so thankful.

So I've always felt that their is a huge gap. The app devs can benefit from this untapped market. But problem is how to solve this problem. Building a search engine will engine will not help since these folks never bothered to google it in first place. So what could be the solution? Suggestions?
