I’m excited to share Indian Opinion (https://indianopinion.org), an AI-based news aggregator focused on Indian news for the global Indian diaspora. I chose the name “Indian Opinion” after Mahatma Gandhi’s newspaper in South Africa, aiming to build an unbiased, India-centric news source. A lots of mistakes in current prod, its a POC at the moment.

Why Build This?

- Better Summaries: Many existing “short news” apps often turn into clickbait, risk miscommunication, or oversimplify important context. I wanted to address these issues by providing concise yet meaningful summaries—enough to quickly grasp the story without losing important details.

- Global Indian Audience: The Indian diaspora is often more engaged with Indian news than many people living in India. Keeping track of diverse regional news can be cumbersome, so I built Indian Opinion to unify and present the most relevant stories.

Feedback & Next Steps - We’re looking to improve coverage, especially local/regional news. If there’s a source you rely on or if you notice any bias in the summaries, please let us know. - Open to suggestions on user experience, especially around how summaries can best convey context without feeling clickbaity or incomplete.
