Many of my relatives have been the victims of these scams on the Internet. I have to educate them periodically about how some messages are just scams. And even then its hard for them to remember all the time to not engage with some of these messages because these messages look real sometimes. Almost everyone I spoke to knows of someone who has faced this. This is a large problem since the FTC estimated that people lost 10 billion dollars in 2024 in the USA due to Internet scams. Many cases go unreported.

I am looking for feedback on my Android app. Its currently limited to SMS and WhatsApp only. It runs in the background and analyzes the conversations from unknown numbers for social engineering and alerts you. The Android app doesn't upload any of your data to any external servers. All of your data remains local to your device. Just ensure that you are connected to WiFi when you download the app since it downloads some files for it to work.
