AI Agents like Deep Research is allowing (almost) everyone to research anything in detail. I wonder what the implications are...
3 quick thoughts:
1. The rich will get richer/healthier/smarter. People with money will always have access to the best AI sooner. $200/mo is more than what most of the world earns. Maybe free access to agents should be universal and govs should invest in this for their citizens.
2. How do we know the agent's findings can be trusted? The risk of making life-affecting decisions on bad data is real. Bad data could be introduced into the system accidentally, intentionally or maliciously. I think citing sources isn't enough - a better trust model is required.
3. Specialists need to start delivering more value. Doctors, lawyers, architects - be prepared to be challenged by patients and clients and their agents. If you can't show why you're more trustworthy than the agents, then you're obsolete.
