Looking for participants for a study about debugging practices

Do you often use debugging tools while programming? Would you like to help us improve them? We are researchers from the computer science department at Université de Montréal and looking for participants for a study about debugging practices. Participants will be required to:

  - Find and fix bugs in 3 different programs using different debugging tools.
  - Consent to having their screen and audio interactions recorded.
  - Complete a brief survey and participate in an interview.

The study will last a maximum of 90 minutes and take place online. Participants will receive $20 CAD by Interac transfer or Paypal. If you are interested, please sign up here:

Participants must be at least 18 years old, and:

  - Able to converse in and read in English or French for the study
  - Have at least 2 years of programming experience in Python
  - Use debugger features regularly (breakpoints, stepping, watch values, etc)
  - Never used CodeBoot (web programming environment for beginners)
