In some instances profiles of prominent rescue people and their moderators were also removed or have been suspended.
I own one of these groups and we all need help!
The groups are communities of people that support the care of small animals and while I know of at least 8 groups in guinea pig communities, we are hearing it has happened to other groups that care for rabbits, fish and even squirrels.
Once the groups are removed you can't access them but the owners/admins can. I can see my group and even now the stats in the group say it is healthy and fine - yet it was removed.
FB instructs you to lodge an 'appeal' however there is no option for this. I have sent emails to [email protected] and [email protected] and nothing has come back.
The on screen information from FB says that if appeals are not done within 30 days then the removals will be permanent. This deadline will be 25th October.
These groups are global. Some of us are on other social media platforms raising awareness, but outside of these these seems to be little help.

If there is anyone connected with FB that could please look into this we would be grateful. The groups tend to have 10K upwards memberships.
If anyone is here that is from Facebook please look into this urgently.
If AI has done this, and we know FB is heavily AI driven then this is a scary prospect given there is limited human common sense behind these decisions.
