And abstracted it to the point that I'm writing just business logic and copy.I'm using the Google Sensitive Data Protection API, which is pretty "enterprise grade", the images are base64 encoded not uploaded to a bucket or stored on a filesystem and used in-memory for just the lifetime of the request.
