I took on the challenge this week of getting 100 paid downloads for my iOS app without spending any money on marketing. The app is called Imagine Storiez, and it's a family friendly party game where each player tried to make a short story using 5 random words in under a minute. Creating valuable posts that sometimes mention the app in Reddit.
None of this is working, and I am really worried that I am not going to be able to complete the challenge. But I really want to prove to myself that I can get sales, because I don't think I should be spending more time developing apps if I can't get them to the right audience (I have already made 5 apps before this that did not take off).
I feel like the issue is that I am not getting in front of the right audience, which is families/teens/parents. Also I'm not able to demonstrate how fun the game is with friends because I am doing the challenge alone. I would really appreciate any advice in the comments. Thank you!
