Something that sets it apart is how files can be added -- directly onto the filesystem. Tons of common tools can be used to maintain media collections, e.g. FileZilla, WinSCP, Desktop file manager drag-and-drop, certain mobile file managers, remote drive mount, Git repository, rsync, Unison, Warpinator, Magic Wormhole, Syncthing, etc etc. All authentication is handled by whichever solution is chosen to transfer files.
After dependencies (php php-gd php-curl php-dom composer) are installed: https://github.com/lipupini/lipupini/blob/demo/system/DEPLOY... I'm hoping that the setup from cloning to being able to tinker with it can take just a few minutes. With `ffmpeg` installed and the corresponding `system/config/state.php` option set, the platform should automatically generate audio waveforms and grab screenshots from videos used as thumbnails.
It is designed to be a robust yet succinct foundation, not too many opinions or dependencies, leaving a lot of creative space for DevOps and new frontend modules. There is a modular design system using a request queue in `system/config/state.php` for flexible extending.
