My co-founder, Feras, has been a producer for nearly a decade and he's been frustrated by the tedious and mundane nature of creating a schedule, which can take up to 2 weeks. This was the inspiration for Shamel.

It has been almost a year long journey for us so far, where the most difficult part for me was having to learn web developing from scratch as a data scientist.

We just launched our beta and I understand most of you are not filmmakers, but I would love any feedback you may have. Also, if you know anyone who might find it useful, we would appreciate it if you can share it with them.

We've tried to make the sign-up process as simple as possible offering an integration with your Google account in addition to simple email sign-up. We also don't require users to put in their credit card if they just want to try it for a week.
