This is a video of me working the computer: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/tbabb02_adobeillustrator-adobepremierepro-assistivetechnology-activity-6916743519692886017-QZce?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop
In 2015, I broke my neck playing in the ocean leaving me paralyzed from the chest down. I quickly adapted to my new environment and started using head tracking and voice to text assistive technology to function my computer. Even with my physical limitations, these devices enable me to use a computer at the same speed as an able-bodied person. By leveling the playing field, I'm able to compete with anyone else and add value to my company.
Ultimately, these tools allow me to work towards something that I find important, giving me a purpose.
I use Dragon Dictation Professional by Nuance (owned by Microsoft) for my speech to text, replacing the need for a keyboard. This software is great and technically allows you to use your computer without a mouse. I am not looking for an alternative to this.
To operate the mouse, I use a product called SmartNAV by NaturalPoint. This is the product I need an alternative to. The company is out of business and there is little information on the web about them.
SmartNAV is a hardware and software product. The hardware is an infrared (IR) camera, a CMOS sensor, a corner cube reflector, and an IR filter that tracks head movement and reflective material or active IR source to send instructions to the computer, moving the mouse cursor on the screen.
Software is harder to explain, but fairly simple. It offers a range of features for cursor control and clicking.

Please note that I’ve tried the other software that tracks eye movement and head movement and none of them work for me. I’m looking to replicate what I currently have. Thank you.
