This isn't the only problem. I haven't logged everything because, well, it happens when it happens, you deal with it and move on.
Things like accidentally calling someone after you hang-up talking to someone else because they hung-up before you, you went to press the button to end the call, the call screen went away and you accidentally press on someone's name and initiate a call.
This might sound like just an inconvenience. Well, I do business internationally. It isn't kind at all to accidentally call someone when it is three in the morning where they are. You'd think Apple software developers would have the presence of mind to understand that, maybe, just maybe, a little bit of intelligence might be required for these things.
Same deal when introducing this "Delete and Report Junk" bullshit. Sorry, it is bullshit, because muscle memory from the prior UI causes you to click the wrong button. I have done that to important clients. What the FK!
Reporting as junk should require more than just touching a button on a touch screen (which is already a bad interface for some things because of how easy it is to make a mistake). The interface should require sliding button or something you cannot possibly do accidentally.
Another one I've seen a few times: Facial recognition fails. It presents you with a keypad to instead. You start typing your unlock code, again, muscle memory means you do it pretty quick. You type 1 to n numbers, facial recognition decides you are you, unlocks the phone, and you accidentally press on buttons you never intended to touch, including possibly calling someone.
And there's more.
This is silly. What's going on in Cupertino?
This, BTW, are companies who want us to trust them with AI. Just a thought, yet not a good image.
