The Cloud Shell runs on a low latency Edge VM on Fly.io, and if you have a devbox.json in your project, it automatically installs your Nix packages and starts a Devbox Shell with your configuration.

You can try it out with the Devbox Repo by visiting https://devbox.sh/github.com/jetpack-io/devbox. This will give you a VM with all the packages and configuration needed to build and test Devbox.
