I got my 7-year-old daughter some Philips Hue lights strips for Christmas. Once installed, I realized it might not be a good idea to open up the entire HomeKit setup to her, but I did it anyway. Just two minutes later, the smoke alarm test went off! Happy holidays.A bit of research brought up some apps with "kid lock" features, but none felt simple enough to be kid-friendly. Fast forward a few days, and I just released a simple web app and server component.
