Why don't you just give up on your relatives' PC and give them an iPad? They will find a way to screw it up, but at least it should be easier to fix than a PC. You don't even have to buy it for them. Just tell them: Get an iPad or just leave me alone. If they ask you, "How?", you know you made the right decision since they are too lazy to look it up on Apple.com. Even if it is missing any functionality, it doesn't matter because they don't even know how to use it on the PC anyway.The other option would be to buy a 10 yr old orphan and give him to your relatives.
