The US has seen almost 850,000 deaths from Covid. In Africa, this number is ~230,000. Meanwhile, the vaccine is in short supply in much of Africa, and the rate of vaccination is quite low in much of Africa. I'm curious why there is this discrepancy - is the worst just yet to come? Is there something about the way African countries are handling things that is different?Sources:
