My take from it is that: life is so complex, that short term tasks to improve the future are fruitless long term since life is so complex and the future is opaque, so you're going to be fighting entropy anyway, so why bother doing 'penny pinching'?
I'm not sure I buy his philosophy though? I still use coupons, and my grocery shop is always a strict budget and I make use of special offers, as well as living frugally with all that that entails.
So: do you agree with Sean? Should we NOT penny pinch?
