Ask HN: Is there any way to remove corporate buying from PC sales data?

For 25 years, I've been reading press releases from Gartner (https://9to5mac.com/2020/01/13/idc-gartner-pc-mac-sales-q4-2019/), trying to convince me that using Linux or buying a Mac was a futile move, which would doom me to computing irrelevancy. Back in the 90's and 00's, this made more sense. Now, however, about half the people I know are using Apple products, and I'm convinced that these global sales figures are being propped up because of corporate sales. My gut feeling is that it's 50/50 these days. I'm very interested in getting the purely-personal sales data extracted from the set, and using that for the comparison. Is it possible to get a personal/corporate breakdown of sales from, say, Dell, or Best Buy? A few of those data points might paint a very different picture than the one Gartner has been peddling for the WinTel industry for decades.
