I've been doing a bit of research on CDNs for my app lately, and Cloudflare's CDN has stood out among the pack due to the fact that they only charge for features, not bandwidth.
And my research so far seems to suggest that they might be the only CDN that does this.
Is this actually the case? Or are there others out there that I've missed?
If this actually is the case, I'm curious why people think nobody else is adopting a similar pricing model to compete.
Cloudflare's market cap and the fact that it may have captured close to a 10% share of all internet traffic [1] is living proof that it's possible build an extremely lucrative & competitive business off of this pricing model at scale.
Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks!
