There has been some noise around taxation of digital goods across the globe. While the movement seems to have more teeth in Europe, the US is less clear-cut. Some states seem to have pushed through their own legislation, but there is no nation wide system for this [1].
Companies (e.g. Avalara[2]) are trying to offer services to solve this, but does it matter?
The question is: if you're running a US company (10+ headcount) selling software, how worried about this are you, and what precautions have you taken? I'm particular curious to hear what the advice on this is from major VCs.
