Ask HN: What are the best screen sharing/streaming services?

For many years I've made do with standard VNC/RDP for the odd case I need to (graphically) connect to a remote machine. Now everyone is working remotely, the lag in these connections has become unbearable (~30ms at best).

I've recently seen colleagues using Rainway[0]/Parsec[1] to stream their regular workstations. Originally designed for game streaming, they handle 1080p@60hz or better.

What other alternatives are out there? Looking for something that makes scrolling text a non-jittery mess and (ideally) has support for local LAN as well for later on.
