Google/Facebook referal based spammy malware

Hi Guys I was doing some reading on some random topics and I found this page where completely takes over your browser (back button useless, popups et al) when the referrer is set to Google or Facebook.

If you copy paste the URL directly it takes you to the destination article just fine.

Are they doing this so that they can appear as a legit website to the crawlers and only screw up users clicking on the link? Is there a report link for pages like this on Google or ublock?
