Sometimes status quo is an excuse that is waiting to be disrupted. We just launched super successful middle school AI theme RC car hackathon and the result shows clearly it was right thing and hackathon is not only for highschool and beyond years! This middle school coding club hosted it and we helped them with curriculum and running the event. Since it was for middle school students, we combined hardware (RC car aka "donkey" car with raspberry pi built on it) with software (tensorflow so students can control their RC cars with their body gestures after programming it first). Lots of key learnings came out but the biggest was the lowering AI experience to younger age groups (6th graders and above). Mainly we want to instill them that AI is not to just automate things but to empower them to learn and build and apply...Go Comical Coders Coding Club who made this incredible feat!!!https://www.comicalcoders.com/hackathon.html, more pictures of this awesome hackathon:https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6571896220334256128/
