Dropbox ignores user preferences to promote new Paper app

Anyone else experiencing this? I have all notifications disabled for Dropbox on macOS in the app, and just got my second macOS notification encouraging me to "Try Paper today!"

To be clear, this is a system level notification. I have all notifications disabled for Dropbox.

Dropbox support said "if you have notifications enabled then this can happen". I do not have notifications enabled.

I don't care if they email me about Paper, but pushing notifications to my OS is gross.
