Tell HN: I am a biologist. Today starts my 6 week programming journey (de novo).

I am a 22 year old biologist who currently has a full time job. I am beginning this journey because I hate reading/hearing/observing computer scientists being taken advantage of as if they are some useless drone. I believe that what you guys do is INSANELY difficult, and anything difficult is probably worth trying (at least once).

Most recently inspired by 7bks.com and the MANY MANY posts that I have read on HN that detail how the resources are available to become adept at programming (provided you put the hard work into it); I have decided to give it a try. I am going to give myself 6 weeks to execute on an idea that I have. I realize that this may be a stretch, but I sure as hell wont give up! I will set up a blog at TheBiv.com; once I teach myself how to do it!! :)

I would sincerely like to thank anyone and everyone from the internets who have taken time out of their day/staked their reputation to make this information freely (and fairly easily) available.
