I read a site, 2 days ago, about someone's long-refined language learning system. It's the kind of thing I would have found linked from hn posts, comments, or a source to an article.

The writing read as stream of consciousness, fairly unedited, but extensive. The author seems frustrated by the slowness and waste of "traditional" language learning courses.

The author wrote extensively about techniques for fast, deep immersion, including reading translations side-by-side.

The site was text-only and fairly ugly, mid-to-dark tone grey-brown background. It looked like html written in some early html editor, with just a few text styling options applied for rhetorical effect.

I wanted to read more about techniques mentioned, because the author's ideas seemed worth trying or reading more about.

I'm trying to re-find a site that I recently came across. It's the kind of thing I would have discovered by a link from this site (or linked from an article posted to hn).

I have searched hn.algolia.com, for and recent cronology of posts via hckrnews.com, but turn up nothing.
