Ask HN: Is HDCP in Linux 4.17 faster or slower?
I'm confused because I read that Linux getting HDCP support can do things like improve playback on Intel chipsets, but the technology itself is described as a system that encrypts data before it goes over the wire like DisplayPort, DVI, etc.
