As of Nov 22, 2017 and as per this announcement - https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2017/11/amazon-rds-now-supports-database-storage-size-up-to-16tb-and-faster-scaling-for-mysql-mariadb-oracle-and-postgresql-engines/, it seems as though Elastic Volumes have now been extended to RDS which would be an XMAS surprise!?
Am I reading this wrong!? Can anyone confirm?
"In addition, Amazon RDS now leverages Amazon Elastic Block Store (Amazon EBS) Elastic Volumes to minimize the time required for storage scaling operations. To learn more, please visit the Storage for Amazon RDS documentation page."
