Tech reporter here (and longtime HN user). At work I write for a general audience, but I also consider myself a part of the tech and startup communities. Part of my goal as a reporter is to serve those communities, and to communicate their concerns to a wider audience. I've written stories that I uncovered on Hacker News, for example: https://www.inc.com/sonya-mann/amazon-counterfeits-no-starch.htmlSo that's why I'm asking. What do you think the tech press usually misses, and what could we do a better job of covering? I can't guarantee that I'll be able to change my approach based on your feedback, but hopefully I can incorporate any tips or concerns you have into my work. I can also share your responses with other reporters.
(if I get any responses, that is)
