Yesterday on NPR, longtime host Terry Gross did an interview of the author of a book called "Aisles Have Eyes". During this discussion, they addressed the topic of supermarkets developing apps. At the beginning of the discussion, Ms. Gross asked about location permission, specifically the iOS modal asking to grant access to location, saying, "What does that mean?" The author of the book cited a Gartner survey that stated that ~50% of Americans believed that a website with a "privacy policy" meant they were protected.
