In essence, students download the app (for free) and can use it like a regular graphing calculator (although it has many more features). The app also comes with a so called "Exam Mode". When a student enters Exam Mode, Wi-fi and cellular functions are off and the app keeps track of how long the student remains in Exam Mode. When the student exits Exam Mode, the app prepares a report with information on time started and time exited as well as student name etc. and stores it on the phone. In the paid version of the app, the report is then delivered to the teacher (who is designated by the student at the start of Exam Mode). In the free version, the report is not delivered. However, for a very small fee paid by the institution we are able to deliver reports to all instructors at that school.
