Tell HN: Great example of monitoring and targeting your users

This past week I've been actively trying to polish my LinkedIn profile, upon recommendation from friends. Apparently it's a real lead generator for them.

I found myself on the jobs pages more than once. To my great surprise, LinkedIn just sent me a special promotion page targeting me as a potential job seeker.

Thats the page. It's really pleasant to see this and a great example for all you Startup guys as well. Monitor and target and give special pricing, even if it's just one user. I feel LinkedIn cares about me right now (even that it's an automated process).

This landing page cannot be discovered anywhere else on the site and 50% off is really a good deal, the language is very unique to my situation as well. I may even upgrade my account or pass on the page to others. Thats how glad I am to see this!
