GitHub Trending Repositories weekly and monthly lists empty for 2 days

Unless I am missing something here specific to my environment or network (would love more independent confirmation beyond testing 2 separate networks) - it appears the Monthly/Weekly trending repositories have been broken or empty for at least the past 2 days [0]:

Is this an actual defect? Or just part of a normal scheduled update process that I am failing to understand? Posted the same to github as well but have not heard anything.
