I literally had enough! I decided that the whole content consumption flow must be changed and fast, but the question is, how?
My approach to this Content Consumption flow is as follows:
1. Content Discovery - There are tons of articles out there when only a small percentage of them worth our precious time as pro marketers. We need to have a better discovery process of what’s actually a good piece of content.
2. Content Consumption - How many articles do you currently have in your Bookmarks folder? I have over a 20 in any given time. That means that by choosing a specific piece of content to consume, my task is not done as in most cases I don't have the time to actually go over all these articles. That creates a graveyard of potentially useful articles I don't read. They are just staying’ there and that’s it. There must be a way to consume these articles much faster and extract their bottom-lines, before reading the whole thing.
3. Action Items - Discovering the content and consuming it, is not why we read articles. We read them in order to add these action items we learned into our marketing workflow so our campaigns, channels and strategy will perform better by executing these action items.
There must be a better way to this whole thing.
Now, I met really creative dudes. Together we came up with something that might be extremely helpful for us marketers and solve this painful, long process of consuming good content. Its called Zest and we are releasing our first beta. Focusing on solving the first part of the Content COnsumption flow- the Discovery stage. Another thing i'd like to ask is: do you guys feel the same? Do you think that we have some sort of a problem in the marketing content sphere?
