So I'm going to be traveling for a few days, and I want my snail mail held by the post office. I found that the USPS has an extremely convenient website for stopping mail: https://holdmail.usps.com/holdmail. I entered my name and address, and requested that my mail be held. Done! There's even an option for having accumulated mail delivered at the end of the requested period.Isn't this way too convenient? Assuming they are doing some validation (name against address), I can stop anyone's mail, for an arbitrary amount of time, as long as I know that person's name and address. Seems ripe for abuse.
