Ask HN: How to acquire a zombie domain?

All of us have on occasion found we wanted a domain that was already registered, and perhaps even been willing to offer money for.

I've found an odd situation where the domain has long since passed its expiration date, with no drop period, no deletion phase, simply existing as registered. I've attached a screenshot of what the whois has to say without the pertinent information because I don't want it snatched away.

How would you go about trying to pick this up?
