I'm an avid user of Soundcloud and have a personal music blog that depends on Soundcloud for content. I've been following IPFS for a while and have been thinking about whether it would possible to use it as a backbone for such a service.
I understand that IPFS is designed to provide object permanence as opposed to persistence and have read the filecoin whitepaper and find it intriguing. I do, however, think a Soundcloud replacement should stick as closely as possible to the current model which does not ask content providers to pay (which puts it at odds with filecoin as it is proposed).

Anyways, I've got some ideas about this subject and figured I'd see if anyone in the IPFS community is interested in bouncing some ideas.
