The situation. I'm 25, I have less than $100, live at home (in Idaho which has made things harder), likely on the autism spectrum and I struggle with depression + anxiety. I have about $8K in debt which is not a lot when compared to potential earning power but a lot when compared to my current savings. I spent 5 years living as a shut-in (long story you can read at http://fighttheurgetofade.com/). Started to work on getting my life back 3 years ago, it has been much much harder than I thought it would be; making money, dealing with mental health, and learning social skills is hard.
Never had a salary or a stable income. I have spent my career freelancing. At times I have had more than enough money to get on my feet and start living but a combination of poor decisions, bad luck, and mental health caused failure -- same story of everyone in a bad situation. I'm ready to get my life together but that first step can be daunting when you have so little to start from.
I'm a decent developer. I have a strong grasp of Ruby and JS (especially ES6, Redux and React). I'm a polyglot and have dabbled with many many other languages (lots of free time).
I would love a stable job to get my life on track.

I'm happy to take something lowering paying to minimize the risk and investment. Don't feel like you are insulting me by offering me a junior dev position, I'd be happy to take it.
Any help or advice the HN community can offer is much appreciated!
