I served during 9/11 and the Iraq war. I deployed twice to the Middle East, but never served in combat. I received an honorable discharge and graduated from Michigan State University with a degree psychology. Now, I'm making a film about a solider who returns home from war and struggles with PTSD. Because this topic isn't "bankable," we were forced into using crowd-funding to finance our film and promised to give 50% of our profits back to Veterans Service Organizations. Here is the film:

For the last eight years, I've been working in commercials, music videos, and feature films. I've met the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World. I worked with Robert Redford. I flirted with Jennifer Love Hewitt. Now, I'm making this film with fellow veteran and producer David Lawson. Our last film titled Best of Both Worlds was accepted into 36 films festivals and sold into European distribution. David's last two films, titled Resolution and Spring, screened at Tribeca and Toronto respectively and can be found on VOD, iTunes, and Netflix.

We have a story, but it needs to be told. Our film is only film about veterans made by veterans. This Veterans Day everyone need to hear about this project. I respect most publications do not support these types of projects, but this is different. This is veterans helping veterans. Please consider writing an article about our project and pushing the PTSD discussion forward. We owe it the people that fought for this country.
